The incident was reported in New Haven County around 1:10 p.m., Wednesday, July 14 in Waterbury.
Waterbury Police Department said officers responded to the Silas Bronson Library, located at 267 Grand St., on a criminal mischief complaint.
The callers reported that two ATV quads and one dirt bike were riding through Library Park damaging the lawn area, said Sgt. Robert Davis.
When police arrived on the scene, all vehicles had left and were seen headed south toward Bank Street.
Officers found several damaging tire tread marks throughout the field along with tire markings on the sidewalk.
The suspects responsible are described as one heavy-set Hispanic male in his early 20’s wearing a purple helmet, gray shirt, and black sweat pants with tattoos covering his right forearm.
Another is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20’s thin build wearing a black helmet purples shirt and gray jeans and another is described as a Hispanic male wearing a blue shirt and black jeans.
Waterbury Police Department Detectives continue to investigate this incident and have obtained surveillance footage of the suspects involved.
